I would love to subscribe to a knitting magazine but I like so many. It seems as if each time a different one has something that interests me enough to buy it. It is usually a pattern that attracts me. Some of the magazines I like are Vogue Knitting, Knitters and Knit Simple.
For fingerless gloves I know a lot of people are or have made fetching from knitty.com. I am thinking of using this pattern with some of the yarn I dyed.
Thanks for letting me know about the broken links, I fixed them.
Don't let my husband see this, but if I could only pick one knitting magazine, it would have to be Interweave Knits. I love Vogue Knitting too, but it seems Interweave Knits always has a pattern in it that I knit (yes, socks) and good Internet support. Because I am not as good a knitter as you, I look forward to the great "how to" articles in every issue.
Angele, your an awesome knitter, I don't have the patience to sit down and figure out the Mobious cast on, looks way too wonkie. But yes I am leaning towards Interweave knits.
I made a pair of wrist warmers for my daughter for Christmas. I got the patteren from Knitty.com and the name was Voodoo Wrist Warmers. To jazz them up a bit I crocheted a row of Fun Fur around the end near the fingers. I have only been knitting since September '06 and they weren't hard for me.
I'd have to say hans down Interweave is mt fave. I usually want to make at least half of what's in there!
Fetching at Knitty is a great pattern.
